Yes, I know. May and June happened, what? Twenty five years ago now? With wedding season in full swing, blogging ended up on the back burner. It's time to catch up! So buckle up: we're going in!

TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS

May and June were all about weddings, all over the country... from the very top of the UK up in Unst, Shetland, in the wind and rain on the longest day of the year, to the South of England in the sweltering sunshine. I also shot some weddings close to home in Derbyshire, which was awesome... I love to travel but it's nice to get home to my own bed from time to time! The 2018 heatwave hit and I turned into a piece of human jerky, running around and doing my thing at weddings in the baking heat. It was a heck of a couple of months...  Let's take a look back at what it all looked like...

Photography

filmmaking

As you may know, I'm not just a photographer - I make films too. Sometimes I make films alongside photography and other times people just hire me for video. Here are the videos that I made in May and June, make sure you have the volume turned up and get ready for a whole load of feels!

LIFE, THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING

Wedding season tends to put a lot of things on the back burner and I didn't have as much time to do a great deal other than work in May and June. One highlight was heading off to All Points East to see LCD Soundsystem which was awesome. Boogieing to All My Friends with some wonderful people was completely magical. I also headed to see Flight of the Conchords perform in Birmingham... they were SO good! I hope they'll release some of their new material at some stage - at one point a three-way recorder solo happened and it was everything I never knew I needed.

I also took to the stage with my beloved barbershop chorus, Ignite, at the 2018 Sweet Adeline's International region 31 competition. We had an exceptional weekend away in Newcastle/Gateshead together, and had an absolute ball onstage.
