What the heck is a virtual photoshoot?

It works a bit like a video call, using an app that’s been designed especially for remote photography. Whether you want shots of yourself or with family, four-legged friends, or your favourite houseplant it’s heaps of fun… you show me around your space so I can spot the best places for photos - FYI I might make excited squeaking noises if the light is just right - and then I’ll talk you through how to position your phone and how to pose and then I capture images. You’ll be able to hear my voice, guiding you every step of the way! After the shoot you’ll get at least 5 images, within two weeks.

what do i need?

All you need is a fully charged phone with Shutter App (which is free to download!) an internet connection and something to prop your phone up with - a phone stand or tripod works but if you don’t have one simply a can of beans and a hair bobble works perfectly! how do i book?

You can book following the “Buy a shoot for myself” link below - simply pick your preferred one-hour time slot and pay the £40 shoot fee to secure your spot. If there’s not a time available that suits you then pop me a message and I’ll see what I can do.

can i buy a shoot as a gift?

Virtual shoots make an excellent gift - whether it’s a birthday treat or a new arrival or an engagement or just well.. because! Follow the “Buy a shoot for someone else” link down below, purchase the gift voucher and let me know who it’s for - I’ll email you a virtual voucher and then the lucky recipient can contact me to book in a shoot.

where and when can i do the shoot?

The shoot can happen anywhere in the world, as long as you’ve got a decent internet connection. Most of the people I photograph opt to have their shoot at home, as a way to celebrate/commemorate this rather strange time when a lot of us have been spending more time in our houses than usual… It’s a way to see the space with fresh eyes! It’s best to pick a time of day when you have natural light in the space where you’d like to have your pictures!
