I've had this niggling feeling for months now that there's a really good personal project on the current Northern Soul scene to be shot. Last night I headed to Goldsoul's monthly night at Derby's Rolls Royce leisure club to kick off the project - and have a bit of the dance.
For this part of the project, I wanted to shoot with a bit of grit and grain, a little bit like it had been shot on film so I pushed my Canon 6D's ISO to its limits.
I'm not sure where the project will lead me next but I'm brimming with ideas and I'm looking for more people to photograph for it, particularly anyone with a prized record collection and any memorabilia. So, if you're interested in being part of the project get in touch and let me know!
